The opening race on Saturday at Ellis Park features a $2,094 carryover in the $1 Super High 5.

Race 1 is a $10,000 claimer taking place over one mile on dirt. We recommend taking a creative stand and keying #3 Fast Solution (8-1) on top of your tickets.

Fast Solution opened his career with three straight wins on dirt and synthetic between November 2024 and February 2025. He earned sharp Brisnet Speed ratings of 76, 85, and 90 and peaked with a four-length romp in a $30,000 claimer.

A long layoff followed, and Fast Solution hasn’t factored in two starts this year, finishing ninth and eighth. But one was a $40,000 claimer, the other was an allowance, and both were on turf. Returning to dirt and dropping in class could trigger a big rebound.

Underneath, we’ll emphasize #2 Saltwater Cowboy (7-2). He’s earned competitive Brisnet Speed ratings in the 80-83 range in each of his last three starts, including a recent third-place finish in a $12,500 claimer at Churchill Downs.

The Saturday card at Del Mar just got even better. After going unsolved for two days, the $2 Pick 6 has generated a massive $148,537 carryover.

The feature event in the sequence is Race 8, the Yellow Ribbon (G2) for fillies and mares racing 1 1/16 miles on turf. #8 Whiskey Decision (2-1) is a logical favorite after cracking the superfecta in the Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G2), Hillsborough (G2), Modesty (G3), and Eatontown (G3).

But don’t leave #6 Warming (6-1) off your tickets. Two starts back, she won the Gallorette (G3) with a strong late rally. She also competed well in California last year, winning the Autumn Miss (G3) at Santa Anita. Returning to California while picking up hot jockey Juan Hernandez could put Warming in the hunt for victory at enticing odds.
