Gulfstream Park: Who to single in the $184,136 Rainbow Pick 6 mandatory payout

November 29th, 2025

Get ready—on Saturday at Gulfstream Park, a $184,136 Rainbow Pick 6 carryover will be dispersed in mandatory fashion. The final pool for the 20-cent wager is projected to reach the $2 million range.

Gulfstream Park, Race 6: $184,136 Rainbow Pick 6 mandatory payout

The Pick 6 spans Race 6 through Race 11, a sequence featuring 56 horses (averaging 9.3 per race) and 596,288 possible outcomes before scratches.

The feature event is Race 10, the $300,000 FTBOA Florida Sire In Reality S. for Florida Sire Stakes-registered juveniles racing 1 1/16 miles on dirt. The race has drawn a large 11-horse field, and yet it looks like the perfect spot to seek a Pick 6 single.

Best single: Race 10, #1 Khozalite (9-5)

Morning-line favorite Khozalite was much the best in the seven-furlong FTBOA Florida Sire Affirmed S. at Gulfstream last month. After tracking and pressing the pace in second place, he took over to trounce a quality field by four lengths. In the process, he defeated five of the 10 horses he’ll face in the In Reality, including Royal Palm Juvenile S. runner-up #7 Squire (6-1), Saratoga Special (G2) third-place finisher #6 Camigol (30-1), and two-time graded stakes participant #5 Strategic Risk (8-1).

Khozalite’s runaway win earned an 89 Brisnet Speed rating. That’s one of the highest numbers in the In Reality field. Only two of his rivals have run faster, and those two—Squire and Camigol—were beaten in the Affirmed.

Some bettors may hesitate to single Khozalite since he’s stretching out from a sprint to a route. But take note, he decisively broke his maiden racing two turns in a one-mile maiden special weight on turf at Gulfstream Park. There’s no reason to think he’ll struggle while stretching back out in distance.

Compelling jockey and trainer statistics cement Khozalite as the horse to beat. Since September, trainer Jose D’Angelo has gone 30-for-147 (20%) at Gulfstream Park, which includes a 15-for-44 (34%) tally with juveniles. Furthermore, Khozalite will be ridden by Edgard Zayas, a 22% winner teaming up with D’Angelo over the last two months.

By singling Khozalite in the Rainbow Pick 6, we can slice the number of possible outcomes to consider from 596,288 down to 54,208, an excellent step toward assembling a winning ticket.

Good luck!
