Keeneland: Longshots to bet in the $37,088 Pick 6 carryover

October 18th, 2025

The Saturday card at Keeneland includes two graded stakes and an enticing $37,088 carryover in the $1 Pick 6.

The Pick 6 gets underway in Race 5 (post time 3:08 p.m. ET) and encompasses both graded stakes: Race 6, the $350,000 Perryville (G3), and Race 9, the $400,000 Raven Run (G2).

After analyzing the entries, we’ve identified a pair of double-digit longshots worth using in the Pick 6. If one or both prevail, you’ll have a shot to cash a big payoff.

Race 7: #12 Majestic Moon (12-1)

This six-furlong maiden special weight for two-year-old fillies has drawn a large field packed with first-time starters. One of the most intriguing is #12 Majestic Moon (12-1), a daughter of perennial leading sire Into Mischief, who sires a lofty 15% winners from first-time starters.

Majestic Moon’s dam is Purely Hot, a capable sprinter who won the six-furlong Whimsical (G3). Purely Hot has previously foaled Eight Rings, winner of the American Pharoah (G1) as a juvenile, so Majestic Moon has the pedigree to shine from an early age.

Majestic Moon has put together a sharp work tab capped off by half a mile in :47 4/5 at Churchill Downs. She looks ready to outrun her 12-1 morning-line odds.

Race 9: #12 Vodka With a Twist (10-1)

The morning-line favorite to win this seven-furlong dash for sophomore fillies is #9 Ragtime (3-1), winner of the Dogwood (G3) and a close runner-up to Kilwin in the Test (G1). But Vokda With a Twist also has compelling form lines on her record.

Vodka With a Twist showed talent as a two-year-old, finishing second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and Del Mar Debutante (G1). She hasn’t been as effective this year, but her form has been muddied a bit by a route race, a turf sprint, a seven-furlong dash around two turns, and a try against older horses in the Thoroughbred Club of American (G2).

Only once this year has Vodka With a Twist contested a one-turn sprint for sophomore fillies. That was the seven-furlong Leslie’s Lady S., in which she ran second to none other than Kilwin.

Returning to the same configuration for the Raven Run may unlock a peak performance from Vodka With a Twist. Don’t leave her off your Pick 6 tickets.

Good luck!
