A Pick 5 carryover at Delaware Park and a pair of tournaments at Churchill Downs are among the enticing betting options for horseplayers to pursue on Saturday.
$11,105 Pick 5 carryover at Delaware Park
There are three different Pick 5 wagers to play during the Saturday card at Delaware Park, and the middle one—starting in Race 3 (post time 12:35 p.m. ET)—boasts an $11,105 carryover.
The best chance for a single in the 50-cent wager might be #4 Golden Juan (1-1) in Race 4, an $8,000 starter optional claimer taking place over one mile on dirt. Golden Juan enters in red-hot form, having won four of his last five starts at Tampa Bay Downs by margins from 3 3/4 lengths to nine lengths. His lone defeat came in a $12,500 starter optional claimer against next-out winner Copperlite.
With nine straight Brisnet Speed ratings in the 87-94 range under his belt, Golden Juan owns the best recent Speed ratings in Saturday’s field. He’s facing only six rivals and has the tactical speed to work out a clean, forwardly placed trip, so bettors can feel confident making Golden Juan a Pick 5 single.

$100 Churchill Downs Challenge and $500 Churchill Downs SFBC Qualifier tournaments
Tournament-minded bettors can take their pick of two options focused on the Saturday card at Churchill Downs.
The $100 Churchill Downs Challenge requires betting your $75 bankroll across at least five races at Churchill and offers cash prizes. The $500 Churchill Downs SFBC Qualifier has the same five-race requirement, but raises the bankroll to $250 and necessitates betting at least $25 in a given race for it to count toward the five-race minimum.
Race 10, the final event on the card, is worth the attention of tournament players. It’s a one-mile maiden special weight for three-year-olds and older horses, and second-time starter #7 Fact (3-1) offers plenty of appeal.
Fact debuted in a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight at Keeneland last month. After tracking a fast pace in third place, he advanced to finish second in a strung-out 11-horse field, earning a 90 Brisnet Speed rating equal to the par winning number for Saturday’s conditions at Churchill Downs.
Trainer William Walden wins at a lofty 31% rate with second-time starters, so there’s a chance Fact will improve off his debut. We recommend tournament players bet him over #4 Playa Del Mar (5-1) and #11 Steeze (6-1) in the exacta.

Good luck!
