Prairie Meadows Pick 5 analysis
Race 7: $5,000 Claiming (5 1/2 furlongs on dirt)
#5 True Prodigy (3-1) is 2-for-2 at Prairie Meadows, winning a $5,000 maiden claimer and a $5,000 claimer for non-winners of two races. He’s a logical contender while stepping up to the non-winners-of-three level, but don’t overlook #2 Hasty Flyer (6-1), who has run faster on the Brisnet Speed rating scale. Two starts back at Prairie Meadows, he won a $20,000 claimer for non-winners of two races.
Race 8: $30,000 Starter Allowance (six furlongs on dirt)
#1 Time to Sing (7-2) is dropping in class out of an allowance, and two starts back he won a $50,000 claimer. But #4 Rockin Boots (5-2) has run faster on the Brisnet Speed rating scale and has a big win chance for the hot jockey/trainer duo of Kevin Roman and Bonnie Birzer.
While horses are the most important factor in handicapping any race, many bettors look toward jockey statistics to strengthen their opinions and separate top contenders.@J_Keelerman helps you understand rider stats 👇 https://t.co/asGyQ1e0YO

Race 9: $40,000 Allowance Optional Claiming (one mile on dirt)
#3 Time to Fly (3-1) exits a 16 1/4-length demolition of the Iowa Stallion S. at Prairie Meadows. But that was a restricted race. #1 Winnemac Avenue (2-1) and #2 Happy Strike (4-1) boast slightly higher Brisnet Speed ratings and have recently run well against unrestricted company, so they’re logical challengers.
Race 10: Allowance (six furlongs on dirt)
#2 Mickswagger (2-1) is dropping in class off a fifth-place finish in the Iowa Derby. Two starts back, he won the Prairie Mile by three lengths. There’s talent here, but cutting back to six furlongs is a question mark. Capable sprinters #4 Cash Fever (6-1) and #6 Brownstone (3-1) have upset potential.
Race 11: $30,000 Claiming (six furlongs on dirt)
Several horses appear to fit well in the Pick 5 finale. We’ll spread with #1 Tommy’s Crue (3-1), #5 Tennessee Grace (7-2), #6 Sister Swede (4-1), #7 Shannon K (8-1), and #9 Gisele’s Map (8-1).
Good luck!
