Race 1
1st: (4) WORTH A BUNDLE – rallied for third in her PID debut two starts back going this distance, then tired badly when stretched out to two turns. Daughter of Medaglia d’Oro turns back to a sprint for Mike Trombetta, who wins 16% going long to short.
2nd: (1) U AIN’T THAT LUCKY – wasn’t a bad turf sprinter last season before tiring in her first start off the long layoff in an off-the-turf dirt sprint at Horseshoe Indianapolis. Kelsey Danner wins 14% second start off the layoff.
Race 2
1st: (1) PUMP IT UP – ran well in his dirt debut, then came back with a third and second at Penn National. He makes his PID debut for Cathal Lynch, who wins 22% against this maiden level and 20% off medium rest.
2nd: (5) ST. EMILION – first-time starter from Jennifer Johnson, who wins 12% with her debut runners. The son of Twirling Candy (17% debut winners) is out of a winning dam by Unbridled’s Song (13% debut winners).
3rd: (2) PANCHO SLIPS AWAY – ran well in his career debut here last September as the 7-5 favorite.

Race 3
1st: (4) AWESOME EMPRESS – went gate to wire two starts back in her PID debut, then came back with a good third when moved up to this allowance level. She prospered going two turns and gets in light again with Brooke Bays.
2nd: (1) LA SCATTA – was a good second at Turfway Park second time out, then broke her maiden here when stretched out to two turns. She did not handle the turf last out, so she returns here for Riley Mott – 31% going from turf to synthetic.
Race 4
1st: (5) MAGNIFICENT RIDE – has some back class on the dirt to handle this group. He was a distant second in fast time against this claiming level in his PID debut for new trainer Brandon Kulp, who wins 26% second time out of his barn.
2nd: (1) THE CONNECTOR – horse for the course finished up last year in good form. He did little in his first two starts this year, but tired here when dropped down to this class level. Mark Hoffman wins 17% with his sprinters and synthetic-track starters.
3rd: (4) CON ON THE RUN – did well here last year in his first two PID starts.
Race 5
1st: (5) CANDY CAUSE – was an even second two starts back here going this distance in fast time, then flattened out in her last start. Daughter of Candy Ride drops down in class for Linda Rice, who wins 30% with this move.
2nd: (6) CRYSTAL WATER – broke her maiden by three lengths in her PID debut, then came back and ran evenly against this level. She rallied to win going away last out despite being stuck behind a slow pace.
3rd: (3) REFUGIADA – won two starts back going two turns at Gulfstream on the Tapeta, then was a good second on the dirt.
Race 6
1st: (6) LIZZIE BABY – was an easy winner two starts back here, going gate to wire when allowed to crawl on the front end. She rallied for third last out in a wide trip when dropped down to this class level for Tim Girten.
2nd: (1) SPARKLING RUBY – did nothing against allowance foes two starts back in her PID debut, then the daughter of War Front came back to win going away as the odds-on favorite. Claimed that day, she moves up in class from the rail.
3rd: (5) FIRST FORAY – did nothing in her seasonal debut, then dropped down to this level and won going away.
Race 7
1st: (7) STEELER MISCHIEF – broke his maiden early in his career, so he’s been racing against better. This season, he has faced this class level in his last three starts and has shown much better gate speed.
2nd: (4) WE CALLED SOL – broke his maiden here three starts back, then was an even third from post 1 next out against these. He rallied well last out when blinkers were removed and now drops back down to the right level.
3rd: (9) MAKE THE BED – woke up last out here at long odds and gets in light with new rider Juan Belisario.
Race 8
1st: (6) HIGH FIVE SY – drops down in class off two even efforts, going two turns on the dirt at Churchill. He added blinkers last out and drops in class for his PID debut for Glenn Wismer – 24% with this surface switch.
2nd: (3) KING REIGERT – did nothing in his well-bet career debut going six furlongs, then finished first and was taken down when stretched out to two turns. Brandon Kulp wins 23% with his maiden claimers and 20% first time with blinkers.
3rd: (9) HOTLINE BLINK – was a good second in his Tapeta debut at Turfway last March, then raced evenly here last out.
