Saturday night tracks to bet with your Kentucky Derby winnings

Picture the scene: the 2025 Kentucky Derby (G1) is in the history books, and you’ve cashed several lucrative wagers. You’re still basking in the excitement and aren’t quite ready for the day to end.
Fortunately, horse racing doesn’t end with the Kentucky Derby. Several other tracks are available to bet on in the evening after the Derby is run. Several are overseas—in Japan, Australia, and South Korea, for example—but stateside tracks are also worthy of your attention.
Here are three U.S. tracks to bet with your Kentucky Derby winnings on Saturday night:
Charles Town
An eight-race card at Charles Town is slated to get underway at 7:00 p.m. ET, roughly around post time for the Kentucky Derby.
Race 8, a seven-furlong maiden special weight, features an intriguing longshot in the form of #1 Downtown Man (12-1). Whereas many entrants have lost numerous times, Downtown Man has only run once, rallying to finish second in a $12,500-$10,000 maiden claimer dashing 5 1/2 furlongs at Laurel Park. The form was flattered when the victorious Zero Blitz returned to win his next start in a $20,000-$16,000 claimer.
Downtown Man may improve while tackling seven furlongs around two turns over the bullring oval at Charles Town, so we suggest trying a win bet on this son of Instagrand.

- $15 to win on #1 Downtown Man
Churchill Downs
Believe it or not, the Kentucky Derby isn’t the last race of the day at Churchill Downs. The Saturday card also includes two evening races after the Run for the Roses.
The most intriguing post-Derby contest is Race 13 (8:00 p.m. ET). It’s a $125,000 allowance optional claimer for three-year-olds dashing 6 1/2 furlongs over the main track. #9 Romanesque (5-1) offers value while dropping in class off a runner-up finish to early Kentucky Derby favorite Barnes in the seven-furlong San Vicente (G2).
In his debut sprinting 6 1/2 furlongs, Romanesque defeated future Wood Memorial (G2) winner Rodriguez with a sharp 93 Brisnet Speed rating, so his form lines are impressive. Take advantage of the Kentucky Derby Week $10 Money Back offer from TwinSpires and place a win bet on this promising Bob Baffert trainee—you’ll receive a refund (up to $10) if he finishes second or third.

Santa Anita
The final four races on Saturday’s card at Santa Anita (Race 7 through Race 10) will take place at 7:28 p.m. ET and later. You’ll miss the $20,522 Pick 6 carryover (which gets underway in Race 5 at 6:08 p.m. ET), but later betting opportunities are suitable targets for your post-Derby attention.
In Race 7, a maiden special weight for California-breds dashing 5 1/2 furlongs over the main track, #7 Day At the Track (8-1) is worth backing as a mid range longshot. She made her dirt debut in a $50,000 maiden claimer for California-breds and showed speed on her way to third place, beaten two lengths. That effort yielded an 87 Brisnet Speed rating—the highest number belonging to any horse in Race 7—and the form was flattered when runner-up West Freedom returned to win a maiden special weight for California-breds.
Day At the Track looks fast enough to handle the same class jump. It helps that she’s picking up apprentice jockey Welfin Orantes, who rides with a five-pound weight allowance. Orantes has gone 3-for-7 (43%) teaming up with trainer Ron Ellis over the past two months.
A win bet is in order.
