Horseshoe Indianapolis: Race 3: Allowance (six furlongs on dirt, 3:12 p.m. ET)

#1 Grand Luxx (7-2) and #3 Tetiaroa (9-2) are shipping in from Churchill Downs. Grand Luxx won a $50,000 starter allowance during the spring and recently ran sixth in an allowance, while Tetiaroa exits a pair of fourth-place finishes against allowance company.

Brisnet Speed ratings suggest Grand Luxx and Tetiaroa will be formidable contenders at Horseshoe Indianapolis. Let’s box them in an exacta and use them to kick off a daily double.

#1 Hank’s Tune (9-2) endured a troubled trip in her turf debut, finishing seventh in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight at Ellis Park last month.

The competition should be a bit easier at Horseshoe Indianapolis, so if Hank’s Tune works out a clean trip under hot apprentice jockey Summer Pauly (who rides with a five-pound weight allowance), he can deliver a victory.

Let’s bet Hank’s Tune to win and single him to conclude our double wager.

Presque Isle Downs: Race 8: $6,250 Claiming (six furlongs on Tapeta, 6:39 p.m. ET)

#7 Sweet Carol James (5-2) has been facing tougher competition at Presque Isle Downs this year. First, she wired a $15,000 maiden claimer. Then she finished third and fifth in $12,500 claimers and fourth in a $25,000 claimer.

Dropping in class for a $6,250 claimer might be all Sweet Carol James needs to visit the winner’s circle. Let’s bet her to win and play her over #6 Princess Charming (9-2) in an exacta. The latter filly made her Tapeta debut in a $7,500 maiden claimer at Presque Isle last month and won by 3 1/2 lengths.

Assiniboia Downs: Race 6: $11,899 Super High 5 carryover (10:40 p.m. ET)

Do you have what it takes to select the top five finishers, in order, in Tuesday’s sixth race at Assiniboia Downs? If so, you can win a share of an $11,899 USD ($16,657 CAD) carryover in the $1 “Classic Hi-5” Super High 5.

Race 6 is a $4,000 claimer for three-year-olds and older horses dashing five furlongs on dirt. Nine horses have entered, so there are 15,120 possible Super High 5 outcomes to analyze.

We’ll build our tickets around the two favorites: #5 Bling Bling Bling (8-5) and #4 Fleet of Hoof (2-1).

Bling Bling Bling brings strong Brisnet Speed ratings to the table, and he’s run well in recent starts at Assiniboia. On June 1, he wired a $3,750-$3,000 claimer by 3 1/4 lengths, earning a 76 Brisnet Speed rating. Then on June 30, he tired to finish fourth after setting the pace in a $5,500 claimer, but he was beaten only three lengths while earning a 74 Brisnet Speed rating. Tackling the $4,000 level should suit Bling Bling Bling just fine.

As for Fleet of Hoof, he’s run well against tougher competition at Assiniboia. Three starts back, he won a $7,500 claimer by three lengths with an 87 Brisnet Speed rating. Most recently, he finished third over the same class level, earning a 72.

We’ll count on either Bling Bling Bling or Fleet of Hoof to visit the winner’s circle, with the other finishing second or third.

Underneath, we’ll emphasize #1 Kate’s Princess (5-1), #7 Switzler Jammin (10-1), and #8 Promise Code (8-1).

Kate’s Princess might be a 10-year-old mare facing male rivals, but last time out, she finished a close second in a $5,000-$4,000 claimer against males at Assiniboia. The winner, You Vee Cee, returned to win his next start in a $5,500 claimer, flattering Kate’s Princess’ form.

As for Switzler Jammin and Promise Code, they ran 1-2 in a $3,000 claimer at Assiniboia last month. They were separated by only a head, and they earned sharp Brisnet Speed ratings of 76. Promise Code subsequently finished behind Kate’s Princess in the above-mentioned $5,000-$4,000 claimer, but a top-five finish on Tuesday is certainly a possibility.
