Best Bets and Quick Picks
Keeneland: Race 2: Maiden Special Weight (4 1/2 furlongs on dirt, 1:32 p.m. ET)
#1 Autism Honor G (20-1) is an intriguing longshot for trainer Israel Acevedo. In 2024, Acevedo sent out future two-time graded stakes winner The Queens M G to win her debut dashing 4 1/2 furlongs over the Keeneland dirt at 45-1 odds.
Autism Honor G is a daughter of Highly Motivated, an early-maturing juvenile stakes winner. She enters off quick workouts (including a bullet three furlongs in :35) and may have the talent to spring a surprise on debut.
Let’s place a win bet on Autism Honor G.
Selections
- #1 Autism Honor G (20-1)
- #7 Vasha (15-1)
- #5 Joker’s Chic (9-5)
Wagers
- $20 to win on #1 Autism Honor G
Horseshoe Indianapolis: Race 2: $15,000 Claiming (six furlongs on dirt, 2:41 p.m. ET)
There’s quite a bit of speed in this field, so perhaps #1 Einstein’s Ghost (5-2) can rally and win while cutting back in distance.
When last seen in October, Einstein’s Ghost closed from midfield to finish second by 1 1/2 lengths in a one-mile $15,000 claimer. He owns two of the highest Brisnet Speed ratings in Wednesday’s field and shouldn’t be underestimated.
#6 Ryan’s Wish (1-1) is a logical choice to complete the exacta.
Selections
- #1 Einstein’s Ghost (5-2)
- #6 Ryan’s Wish (1-1)
- #3 House of Gold (8-1)
Wagers
- $15 to win on #1 Einstein’s Ghost
- $15 Exacta: 1 with 6
Total: $30
Keeneland: Race 8: Allowance (1 1/16 miles on turf, 4:44 p.m. ET)
#3 Child of the Moon (2-1) has run reasonably well against graded stakes competition. Last time out, she finished fourth by just three-quarters of a length in the 1 1/8-mile Hillsborough (G2) at Tampa Bay Downs.
Dropping in class for a Keeneland allowance should make Child of the Moon a formidable win threat under two-time Eclipse Award-winning jockey Flavien Prat. Let’s place a win bet on Child of the Moon.
Selections
- #3 Child of the Moon (2-1)
- #6 Austere (9-2)
- #12 Sweet Treasure (5-1)
Wagers
- $30 to win on #3 Child of the Moon
Good luck!
