Delta Downs, Race 8: My Trusty Cat S. (7 furlongs, 5:07 p.m. ET)

#1 Taylor’s Tourist (8-5 on the morning line) and #2 Xtrema (5-2) have faced much tougher company than they’ll encounter Tuesday.

Taylor’s Tourist has competed in three straight stakes on the Kentucky circuit, most notably when she finished seventh in the Jessamine (G2), behind future Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) winner Aunt Pearl.

Xtrema has made a couple of forays on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks. She came in fourth in the Pocahontas (G3) and sixth in the Alcibiades (G1).

The easier competition in the My Trusty Cat should make Taylor’s Tourist and Xtrema tough to beat. Xtrema, in particular, is intriguing, after she rallied to victory in a 7 1/2-furlong turf allowance at Indiana Grand three weeks ago.

We’ll key them both in the trifecta and add recent maiden winners #3 Color of Dawn (9-2) and #7 Coach Jer’s Joy (10-1) for second and third place.
