Daughter of Dehere is out of a dam that won the Golden Slipper Stakes (G1), draws well tonight and gets a major rider switch to Damien Oliver.

The Ranvet Stakes (G1) is a weight-for-age stakes that makes the top two choices very tough since they are both used to carrying this weight. Fiorente won the Melbourne Cup for Gai Waterhouse then came back last out at this distance and won the Australian Cup (G1) two weeks ago as the odds-on favorite. I loved It’s a Dundeel last year and his form in Sidney was especially strong winning the Rosehill and Randwick Guineas (G1). He was a good second in the Chipping Norton Stakes (G1) two weeks ago going a mile and should be able to step up in trip with no problem.

I give It’s a Dundeel an edge over Fiorente with his proven class over the track and should improve a ton off his last start. Still not much value with these two so I’ll key It’s a Dundeel over Fiorente and Silent Achiever.
