Opening Day Late Pick 4 plays at Keeneland

Keeneland opens its 15-day Spring Meet and the average 50-cent Pick 4 returned $1,788 during the Fall Meet. Here are a couple of horses I will be keying in today’s Late Pick 4 (races 7-10)

Race 7: #1 Another Gal (12-1) bobbled at the start of her March 3 debut at Turfway Park but still managed to record a solid third, displaying good speed from the start. Trainer Charlie Lopresti adds blinkers and Lasix and John Velazquez picks up the mount on the City Zip filly, who is a half-sister to a multiple Grade 2 runner-up. I will look for her to move forward with a front-running win.

Race 10: Looking to close the day out with a winner in #9 Miss Coco (5-1). 4-year-old filly turned in a decent effort over the track last fall and received a nice tightener last time at Turfway, tackling allowance rivals because trainer Phil Simms wasn’t going to lost her to a claim. He wins at a 21% clip the second start off a layoff and Miss Coco should receive a favorable set-up for her rally.

Late Pick 4

Here are the 50-cent tickets I will be playing for a total of $48:

1 with 2,3,8 with 4,5 with 1,2,3,4,9,10,11,12 ($24)

1,2,5,6,8,9,11,13 with 2,3,8 with 4,5 with 9 ($24)

Good luck on Opening Day!
