I will focus on an all-stakes Pick 3 on a big day of action at Laurel Park on Saturday.
Race 9 Wager
$1 Pick 3: 6,8 with 7,8,10,11 with 2,4,10 ($24)
Race 9 – Weber City Miss S.
A total of nine three-year-old fillies will run 1 1/16 miles on the main oval to commence the wager. Two-time stakes victress #8 Jumping the Gun (7-5) concluded her juvenile campaign with a second behind Zany in the Demoiselle (G2) and will be difficult to knock off with her best showing. The Gun Runner filly will have Julio Hernandez on board.
Michael Gorham’s #6 Miss Fulton Gal (6-1) has won a pair of races in succession on the course and could sit a nice trip behind the pace in this spot. Late-running daughter of Rock Your World will be a danger inside the final furlong with Mena in the stirrups.
Race 10 – Henry Clark S.
The one-mile turf test attracted a big cast of 11. #7 Cruise the Nile (7-2) has improved with each lifetime run to date for Graham Motion, which includes a stylish allowance win at Gulfstream Park most recently. The New Jersey-bred will be the one to run down turning for home beneath regular pilot Jorge Ruiz.
Grade 2 victor #8 Neat (5-1) hasn’t won in a while, but has the back class to defeat this kind with his best outing. #10 Mischievous Angel (8-1) was a close second in the race in 2025 and could offer some value for Abreu. Top pick #11 Baby Max (15-1) has been first or second in seven straight races with blinkers off for trainer Kelsey Danner. The Maximus Mischief colt has yet to run on the lawn, but he is kin to a turf winner and will be in the hunt if his synthetic form transfers over to the green.

Race 11 – Federico Tesio S.
A talented field of 10 three-year-olds will vie in the 1 1/8-mile dirt endeavor. Going from a maiden sprint win to this race will be a big ask for #2 Volendam (3-1), but the Mike Maker trainee was very impressive at first asking and indicated that he has much more to offer. The Vekoma colt will need a big step forward facing a seasoned group, but I’ll use him in the contest with Mychel Sanchez on board.
#10 Taj Mahal (7-2) is two-for-two to begin his career and showed heart in taking his route debut on the course last time out. One of two in the field for Brittany Russell, the Nyquist colt will break from the outside with Sheldon Russell in the silks. #4 Wild Warrior (6-1) overcame trouble to win the Private Terms S. most recently and will be a player in his third run of the season with Yedsit in the irons.
