Superstar Saturday Palm Beach Preview 10-31-2015

October 31st, 2015

What an exciting racing weekend we have coming up! Not only will fans around the world be tuning in for the Breeders Cup in Lexington, Kentucky but also in West Palm Beach at PBKC to see their favorite greyhound racers. The superstars are out this afternoon, with greyhound legends Kb’s Like A Fox, Barts Dublin, Pat C Short Cut & Ethel Is Here all getting the call. Should be one fabulous Saturday from start to finish.

Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee racing card at “The Beach.”

"The Fox"

Race 3 Grade TA 301 Yards

The world stops and watches when “The Fox” is slated to run.

The 74 time career winner #5 Kb’s Like A Fox is the best super sprinter of all time and will continue his history march this afternoon. Going for his 5th win in 6 starts.

Fox will have to contend with many of Palm Beach’s best super sprinters to get it done here. Right next door is #6 Slatex Bakken from the Janie Carroll Kennel who no doubt will be right in the mix at the front of the pack. Long shot upset play could come from #3 Pepper Cream, who stunned the Fox for the victory last time out.

Hard to not pick the greatest of all time here.

Picks 5-6-7-3

*Barts Dublin*

Race 12 Grade A 545 Yards

This is a heavyweight matchup without question.

Two of the top sprinters in the country #4 Pat C Short Cut and season wins leader #7 Barts Dublin square off for the very first time in their careers today. “Shorty” was our #1 ranked racer last month and has ran solid this month with two victories. One of the more dynamic closers you will ever see and will certainly hit the board here.

“The Luck of the Irish” Dublin has been the most consistent racer of any greyhound in South FLA this season. Rare combination of solid rush and prolific closing ability makes this racer dangerous every time he steps on the oval.

WPS possibility for profit could come from #3 Atascocita Camry, whose late kick can steal races like these.

Dublin on the outside looks like the best play to me.

Picks 7-4-2-3

*Ethel Is Here*

Race 14 Grade TA 660 Yards

#1 Ethel Is Here from the Janie Carroll Kennel is setup to dominate this afternoon. Going for her 4th straight win in her favorite pole position box, she is far and away the best middle distance racer at “The Beach.” With how fast she is running and a perfect look for her on the inside, could we see close to a record time today?

Look out for #7 Victory Gallant from the red hot Douglas Kennel, who has heated up in October and should be near the front throughout this race.

Ethel Is Here all the way for me.

Picks 1-7-5-8

Top Pick Race 14- #1 Ethel Is Here

Enjoy the racing at Palm Beach and the Breeders Cup everybody!
