Analyzing rich Pick 6 carryovers at Aqueduct and Woodbine

April 18th, 2026

Handicapper J. Keeler Johnson shares horses to bet in a pair of lucrative Pick 6 carryovers on Saturday at Woodbine and Aqueduct.

Woodbine: Race 2: $44,446 Pick 6 mandatory payout (1:52 p.m. ET)

Mandatory-payout Pick 6 carryovers aren’t usually offered on the opening day of a meet, but the first day of 2026 racing at Woodbine is an exception.

Cold weather prompted Woodbine to cancel the final five races on the last day of their 2025 season, derailing the planned mandatory payout of a carryover in the 20-cent Jackpot Power Pick 6. Now, after months of waiting, the $44,446 USD ($61,065 CAD) carryover will be paid out when 2026 racing kicks off at the Canadian oval on Saturday.

Trainer Kevin Attard excelled during the opening days of the 2025 meet, winning with six of his first 13 starters (46%). He has one horse entered on opening day in 2026: #2 Sinclairity (5-2) in Race 6, a $32,000 allowance optional claimer for fillies and mares sprinting five furlongs on Tapeta.

Sinclairity fits well at this class level. She ran second four times over this class level last year, and on three occasions she was beaten by a neck or less. Along the way, she earned sharp Brisnet Speed ratings.

For her 2026 debut, Sinclairity is reuniting with jockey Pietro Moran, who has gone 4-for-8 (50%) teaming up with Attard over the last two months. If Sinclairity brings her A game—and there’s no reason to think she won’t—she can snag her fourth career win. We suggest singling Sinclairity in the Jackpot Power Pick 6.

Aqueduct: Race 4: $19,017 Pick 6 carryover (2:44 p.m. ET)

The Saturday card at Aqueduct includes the $150,000 Bay Shore S. and a $19,017 carryover in the $1 Pick 6.

The Bay Shore, a seven-furlong dirt dash for three-year-olds, happens to be the opening leg of the Pick 6. Only five horses have entered, and #1 Solitude Dude (3-5) looks like a trustworthy single to build Pick 6 tickets around.

Solitude Dude dominated his first three starts sprinting by daylight margins. He won the six-furlong Inaugural S. by eight lengths and wired the seven-furlong Swale S. by 3 3/4 lengths over next-out Rebel (G2) winner Class President.

Most recently, Solitude Dude tackled 1 1/16 miles in the Fountain of Youth (G2) on the Road to the Kentucky Derby. While he tired to finish third by 2 1/4 lengths, the top two finishers (Commandment and Chief Wallabee) returned to run 1-3 in the Florida Derby (G1) and are among the favorites for the 2026 Kentucky Derby (G1).

Dropping in class and cutting back to seven furlongs should make Solitude Dude mighty tough to beat in the Bay Shore.

Good luck!
