The Brown-trained #4 Griselda was a smart winner in her U.S. debut at Saratoga in August prior to running an even one when ultimately fourth in the recent Winter Memories S. (G3) on the course on Sept. 20. The European import has every right to improve in her third attempt in 2025. She comes into this affair with a pair of bullet works on the training turf at Saratoga as of late. In a race without an abundance of early foot, the City Light filly will stalk the action without having too much to do turning for home. I expect her to take a big step forward in this spot under Flavien Prat.
Saffie Joseph’s #7 Paradise City sure looked the part in her grassy debut when falling a nose short in the Winter Memories. The daughter of McKinzie was always in range in that outing before putting in a solid late run, and she finished two lengths clear of her nearest foe in the contest. The Kentucky-bred bay zipped a bullet three-eighths on the Oklahoma in her most recent morning spin and could be in a dream spot turning for home beneath Manny Franco.
Winter Memories starlet #5 Ready for Candy has been sharp while going two-for-two in 2025 and is an obvious inclusion in the tilt. The Phil Antonacci pupil has won from on and off the pace, showing her versatility for her new conditioner, and retains the services of Ricardo Santana, Jr. for the event.
Brown’s #6 Pretty Picture is a tricky read in winning both career races to date at Monmouth Park, and it’s difficult to omit a Brown runner in this race. The Three Chimneys homebred displayed a nice turn of foot on the grass at first asking prior to beating allowance foes in an off-the-turf tilt second time out. She has room for improvement with just two runs to her credit. Dylan Davis will take the reins.
