Churchill Downs: Race 1: $6,705 Super High 5 carryover (12:45 p.m. ET)
The opening race on the epic, stakes-packed Stephen Foster (G1) card at Churchill Downs is a six-furlong maiden special weight for juveniles. Bettors who select the top five finishers in order can win a share of a $6,705 Super High 5 carryover.
Among the dozen horses in the main body of the field, #11 Powerline (8-5) is one of the strongest contenders. Purchased for $1.8 million as a yearling, the son of Flightline has put together an eye-catching series of fast workouts for Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen, including a bullet five furlongs in :59 3/5.
We recommend taking a stand and keying Powerline on top in the Super High 5.
This year's Churchill Downs spring session closes with a vintage renewal of the Stephen Foster (G1). 🐴

Aqueduct: Race 6: $28,026 Pick 6 carryover (3:39 p.m. ET)
The penultimate day of racing at historic Aqueduct, which runs its last program on Sunday, features a $28,026 Pick 6 carryover.
The feature event in the sequence is Race 8, the $150,000 Ashley T. Cole S. for New York-breds dashing six furlongs on turf. #1 Waralo (5-2) is a logical morning-line favorite; he boasts four wins and two seconds from six starts on turf, including a triumph against open competition in the six-furlong Elusive Quality S. at Aqueduct last month.
But don’t leave #6 Bold Journey (7-2) off your tickets. He exits a seventh-place finish in the Jaipur (G1), where he was beaten only 2 3/4 lengths, and he showed a high level of form sprinting on turf at Aqueduct last year, most notably running second by a neck in the Belmont Turf Sprint (G3). Dropping down in class for the Ashley T. Cole can put him in the hunt for victory.
Los Alamitos Thoroughbred: Race 4: $13,146 Pick 6 carryover (5:36 p.m. ET)
The final leg of Saturday’s $13,146 Pick 6 carryover at Los Alamitos Thoroughbred is Race 9, the $100,000 Los Alamitos Derby for three-year-olds racing 1 1/8 miles over the main track.
Only five horses have entered, and we recommend singling #3 Start the Ride (1-1). Back in January, he won the California Chrome Cal Cup Derby by 1 3/4 lengths over a field including Pavlovian, the future Louisiana Derby (G2) runner-up and Kentucky Derby (G1) participant.
Start the Ride faltered in his own Road to the Kentucky Derby forays, finishing sixth in the San Felipe (G2) and fifth in the Santa Anita Derby (G1). But he recently bounced back to form, beating older California-breds in a $20,000 allowance optional claimer at Santa Anita last month.
Start the Ride owns the two highest Brisnet Speed ratings in the Los Alamitos Derby field and should be tough to beat while returning to the three-year-old ranks.
Good luck!
