Top Horses for the 2026 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes
#2 LUSTER (5-2): Canadian superstar comes off a dynamic tally in the King’s Plate S. for Josie Carroll and gets top billing in the deep field. The ultra-talented daughter of Knicks Go was a daylight winner on this grass surface in her lone local experience and comes in fresh with steady morning drills for her return to Keeneland. John Velazquez will ride.
#4 FAITHFUL DEPARTED (7-2): Grade 3 victress continues her run of good form in preparation for this affair and could be moving best of all inside the final furlong. The Yoshida filly comes off runner-up results in the Belmont Oaks (G1) and Saratoga Oaks (G2) and rates a big chance with any improvement beneath Jose Ortiz.
#3 TAM TAM (4-1): Classy Del Mar Oaks (G1) heroine has been excellent since moving to the sod for conditioner Phil Bauer. The Medaglia d’Oro sophomore has never been better in advance of her local bow and will be forwardly placed throughout, with Junior Alvarado retaining the ride.
#6 BRAIDA (8-1): European import from the mighty Graffard shedrow is three-for-four in 2026 and has to be given respect for a top outfit. The Mehmas three-year-old will likely appreciate the added distance in her first try at nine panels, and it’s a positive that Mickael Barzalona comes in to ride the win threat.

Best Bets for the 2026 Franklin Stakes
Read the full analysis here: Betting With, and Against, Ag Bullet in the Franklin Stakes
Grade 1 vixen #7 Ag Bullet (2-1), who has hit the board in the last two editions of the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1), leads a field of eight in Sunday’s $400,000 Franklin S. (G2) at Keeneland. The field is loaded with stakes winners and talented runners from top to bottom, but the morning-line choice is the clear one to beat for conditioner Richard Baltas.
Ag Bullet – With
- $1 superfecta 7 with 3,5 with 1,3,5 with all ($20)
- $1 superfecta 7 with 3 with 1,5 with all ($10)
Ag Bullet – Against
- 50-cent superfecta: 3,5 with 1,3,5,7 with 1,3,5,7 with all ($30)
Top Horses for the 2026 Franklin Stakes
#7 Ag Bullet, the excellent daughter of Twirling Candy, had a misstep by her standards at Kentucky Downs last time when failing to produce her best effort, but her body of work is fantastic, and she will be formidable with something close to her top performance. The gray mare has amassed more than $3 million in earnings in her lifetime, and she has proven to be more than capable of firing when up close early, or from rallying from off the pace, with equal effectiveness. John Velazquez will take the reins.
#3 Time to Dazzle (8-1) is winless since eclipsing this race in 2025, but the late runner from the barn of Mark Casse landed in a field where the pace could be rapid and contested, and she is very appealing at a price. The five-year-old by Not This Time has rallied to be second in a pair of races in succession leading up to Sunday and will be in range late at a nice price under Irad Ortiz Jr.
#5 Shoot It True (9-2), one of two in the group for Wesley Ward, has won or placed in all seven career tries on the grass including an allowance second on the local green in April. The Munnings four-year-old has come up short in the stakes ranks on a few occasions on the lawn this campaign, but she dominated allowance foes at Saratoga in her latest performance and comes in fresh as a contender today with Yedsit Hazlewood in the stirrups.
#1 Usha (4-1) could be overbet in her first lifetime try on the sod, but she is bred to handle the surface, and the wildcard rates as an exotics contender in the dash. The Tiz the Law four-year-old will have blinkers on for her turf bow and will save ground from the rail with Flavien Prat in the silks.

Exotics Plays for the Bricks and Mortar Stakes
Nine three-year-olds will vie in Saturday’s inaugural running of the $175,000 Bricks and Mortar S. at Belmont Park. The seven-furlong grass event has a little bit of everything with speed contenders, late runners, and entrants cutting back in distance, and it seems like an ideal tilt to focus on the vertical exotics.

How to bet the 2026 Hill Prince Stakes
The Miguel Clement-trained #6 Caroline St. Beat will lead a cast of nine sophomores postward in Saturday’s feature at Belmont Park, the $200,000 Hill Prince (G3). Run at 1 3/16 miles on the inner turf surface, the grassy tilt attracted some very talented runners, but the race will go through the New York-bred.

How to bet the 2026 Sycamore Stakes
An especially well-matched and full field of turf stayers will go 1 1/2 miles over the Keeneland green in Friday’s $400,000 Sycamore (G2). I have to use multiple runners in a cast that lacks a standout, led by Shug McGaughey’s #7 Limited Liability (8-1). By Kitten’s Joy, the seven-year-old gelding is winless at the trip but has run some big races against very good ones at 12 furlongs in his lifetime, and he also sports a 4-2-1-1 lifetime line at this venue.
Sycamore Wagers
